Katie Courtney

Katie C. Courtney is an associate attorney with Correia & Puth, PLLC and contributes to all aspects of the firm’s litigation docket. Ms. Courtney represents individuals facing discrimination at work and school, focusing her practice on harassment and discrimination due to sex, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability and on cases involving retaliation and whistleblower protection.

Ms. Courtney graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she was a Thelton E. Henderson Center Scholar and graduated with Pro Bono Honors and a certificate in Public Interest and Social Justice.

During law school, Ms. Courtney volunteered at a workers’ rights clinic and worked at multiple civil rights organizations, including Public Rights Project and the Civil Rights Enforcement Section of the California Department of Justice. Prior to joining Correia & Puth, Ms. Courtney was a fellow at Whitman-Walker Health, where she handled name and gender change cases and helped clients access Medicare benefits.

Prior to law school, Ms. Courtney taught at a Washington, D.C. public school through an AmeriCorps program. She also worked in campaign organizing. She graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in rhetoric and a minor in Spanish.

Ms. Courtney is admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.
